Bulgaria - List of Champions

On December 16, 1923, the Bulgarian National Sports Federation (BNSF) was founded, which initiated the State Championship between the regional champions, first held (but not finished) in 1924.

[*] Levski-Spartak (Sofia) had won the league; however, the title was awarded
to Trakija (Plovdiv) (who had finished third behind Levski-Spartak and
CSKA) "due to behaviour incompatible with the socialist morals" during
the Cup Final between CSKA and Levski-Spartak. Both CSKA and Levski-Spartak
were dissolved (but re-emerged the next season as Sredets (later renamed
CFKA Sredets) and Vitosha, respectively. In 1990 Levski-Spartak (Sofia)
were reinstated as champions (though meanwhile called Levski again).
