Before the start of the tournament, Club Asturias (founded on Feb. 7, 1918) request for enter to the league. Originally the league accepted the request, two test matches were scheduled as part of the requirements. Club Asturias decided to form its own league called "Unión Nacional de Aficionados de Association Foot-ball", inviting other teams from Mexico City as Cataluña, San Cosme, Blanco y Negro, ABC and Águila (Pachuca).
