Champions of the Tournament of Departmental Selections of the Confederation of the Este
The Confederation of the Este is one of the 4 constituting O.F.I., which organizes football outside Montevideo.
Since 1991 two selections per department take part, one representing the Capital league, and one the Interior Leagues, which is usually represented by the winner of a prior tournament among the different leagues, re-enforced with some players from the loosing ones. Three times a department participated with only one selection: Maldonado twice (1998 and 1999) and Rocha once (1999).
Cerro Largo was affiliated to the Confederación del Noreste from 1968 to 1990.
