Elman FC were founded in 1993 as Organization of Technical Training 
Institute by Mohamud Ali Ahmed 'Elman'; the name was changed to
Elman Sports Club in October 1996 after the founder was murdered
on March 9, 1996, during the civil war in Somalia.
