Malta - List of Lowenbrau Cup Finals

The 'Independence Cup' was inaugurated in 1964 to mark Malta's independence. It was played between the League Champions and the Cup winners before the start of the season. When in season 1969/70 a Maltese team first entered the Fairs Cup (later UEFA Cup) it was extended to the League runners-up as preparation for the European cups. In 1982 it was replaced by the 'Euro Cup' and in 1993 by the 'Lowenbrau Cup'.
