NB: as only two venues (in George Town and West Bay) were used, in many cases
the distinction between home and away teams was arbitrary;
matches marked 4a0 or 0a4 were definitely awarded;
matches marked 4?0 or 0?4 were most likely awarded;
the two matches between Scotia and Police were both played between Feb 11
and Feb 25; both were drawn with an aggregate score of 4-4; possibly,
the return match (on Feb 13 or 14) doubled as a replay for the match
abandoned on Dec 5 and the score was counted twice (a procedure which
had already found application in the South Wales League in 1890/91 for
the matches between Porth and Ton Strollers, and again in 1891/92 for
Blaina's matches against Treharris and Mountain Ash)
