NB: after the abandonment of the 2011 league organised by the Football Federation
of Brunei Darussalam (FFBD), which was not recognised by FIFA, the new
National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) decided to start
from scratch and organised a qualifying competition in which 32 clubs were
divided over 4 groups to play for (originally) 8 places at the 2012/13 top
level (Brunei Super League).

the 3rd and 4th placed clubs to Brunei Premier 1; the 5th and 6th placed clubs

however, it was later decided to admit the two best third placed teams to the
Brunei Super League as well and extend the second level to 10 clubs as well,
relegating the remaining clubs to the four district leagues.
