Men's Championship
Women's Championship
Both Titles in the Same Hands
The idea behind this list is basically the same as Unofficial World Championship and Nasazzi's Baton, with only some small differences:
1. To equalize the treatment given to knock-out, group and round robin matches, only the results obtained on the regular time are considered; all extra-times, golden goals or penalty shot-outs are ignored.
2. Many friendlies, even recognized as full "A" Internationals, are not played by the strongest players of one or both teams. So, I considered only matches valid for official continental and world competitions:
- Qualifying and final phases of World Cup;
- Qualifying and final phases of the official cup from each
continental confederation;
- FIFA Confederations Cup;
- Olympic Games men´s tournament (only from 1908 to 1936, when
the tournament was played by the main players from each country);
- Olympic Games women´s tournament;
- FIFA Women´s Invitation World Cup 1988
