Bertus "Jos" Stom - International Appearances

The Dutch player obtained 9 international caps with his National Team. He held the Dutch caps record from April 30, 1905 (together with the 10 other players in the first official international match of the Netherlands) until October 23, 1908 (when his total was surpassed by Reinier Beeuwkes). He played in each of the first nine matches for the Dutch national team, in spite of scoring an own goal in the very first, and became the first ever sole record holder on April 1, 1907, when he was the first to play five matches for the Netherlands.

His international career ended before reaching 21 and a half year of age due to moving to the Dutch East Indies, where he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Stedenwedstrijden on Java.
