Kessler Brothers

The brother pair of Tonny and Kessler played one match together for the Dutch national team. They were the first ever brother pair to (officially) do so, and that in a famous match: the first ever win of the Netherlands against England, albeit the Amateur side (so it is no official international match for England), who were beaten 2-1 at Houtrust in what probably was the best performance of a Dutch team in the first half of the twentieth century.

Tonny and Dé were cousins of the brothers Dolf and Boelie Kessler, who also both played for Oranje but never together (however, Boelie and Dé played together in 7 matches).

Together the two brothers obtained 24 Dutch caps (Tonny 3, Dé 21), scoring 10 goals (Tonny 1, Dé 9). Below we list the only match of the Dutch national team in which both brothers played.
