Eerste Divisie 1991/92 Thanks to a fine finish of the season, B.V.V. Den Bosch finish second behind Cambuur Leeuwarden, who lead the league for most of the season and are promoted, for the first time in their history to the eredivisie. B.V.V. Den Bosch qualify for the "nacompetitie", now contested by the winners of six (!) game "periods". Two groups of three teams are formed, and Den Bosch, who have finished second, are drawn in the "light" group with Eindhoven and Excelsior, 14th and 15th in the regular season. Excelsior pose no challenge, but provincial rivals Eindhoven, in spite of their low league position, are only pipped for first place on goals scored. In the "nacompetitie final", Den Bosch convincingly beat the winners of the other group, the Go Ahead Eagles (11th in the final league table!) 3-1 on aggregate and earn promotion to the eredivisie. The Eagles from Deventer later qualify as well, by beating F.C. Den Haag, who had finished 16th in the eredivisie, 4-0 on aggregate.
