EASTERN INDOOR SOCCER LEAGUE The EISL began play in June 14, 1997 as a regional developmental indoor soccer league, in effect the first minor indoor soccer league in the country. The league consists of 8 teams in two divisions. Attendance averaged 1,500-6,000 per game for the first season. Financial difficulties forced the league to fold after two seasons.
