Note: a Reuter report dated 24th February 1962 said that Indonesian police had arrested 16 Indonesian players,
      two referees and 16 Chinese businessmen following allegations that the match on 19th February was fixed.

Notes: the national team was often referred to in the local media as the "Vietnam All-Stars" or as the
       "Saigon All-Stars" (even when including players from outwith Saigon).  The South Vietnamese
       association decided to include some newer players for this tour, to revitalise thenational team
       for future tournaments.  This led to foreign media referring to the team as a weakened selection
       (i.e. a B-team or a youth team) but this was not the case.  Many of the players involved were
       regulars in major international tournaments.  The team returned to Saigon on 20th February.
