Played once between Argentina and Brazil in home and away matches. It was contested for the 35th anniversary of the newspaper "Zero Hora" from Porto Alegre (Brazil). According to the rules Argentina was the winner of this trophy (aggregate score 4-4 but more away goals). However, by mistake the trophy was given to Brazil, so it was arranged to give a copy of the original trophy to Argentina. 04.09.1999 Buenos Aires Argentina 2-0 Brazil 07.09.1999 Porto Alegre Brazil 4-2 Argentina 04-09-1999 Argentina 2-0 Brasil Stadium: River Plate [Juan Sebastián Verón 29, Hernán Crespo 57] ARG: Roberto Bonano, Walter Samuel, Nelson David Vivas, Roberto Ayala, Juan Pablo Sorín, Fernando Redondo, Javier Zanetti, Juan Sebastián Verón (Diego Simeone 86), Hernán Crespo (Eduardo Berizzo 89), Arnaldo Ariel Ortega (Marcelo Gallardo 74), Claudio Javier López (Cristian González 46).
