Surinam - List of Women Champions

Women's football was introduced in 1954 by SV Elvedo, which held a match between "Flores" and "Americanos", both composed of Elvedo members. But apart from incidental matches in the sixties, the real start of women's football in Surinam was the foundation of Oema Soso on 18 Jan 1977. Within two years, more than half a dozen clubs followed and the first competition started in the 1979/80 season.
