Group winners play-off for title.
TITLE PLAY-OFF
1st leg Corinthians 1-0 Palmeiras
2nd leg* Palmeiras 3-0 Corinthians

* Both teams had won a match, but Palmeiras had collected an extra bonus
point for finishing top of the league table before the semi-final group
stage. So, in order to protect that bonus, they needed only a draw in the
extra half hour. As it happened they scored another goal to win 4-0 and
take their first title in 17 years.
Palmeiras finished with 10 men after Tonhao had been sent off, and their
opponents, playing in a somewhat un-Corinthians spirit, finished with
eight - Henrique, Ezequil and finally keeper Ronaldo all departing early.
