NB: in principle, España Industrial had earned promotion; however
on July 21, 1953, the directors of the club submitted
documentation at the Federación Catalana de Fútbol officially
declaring the club the affiliated team of Barcelona; as the
regulations of the FEF prohibited an affiliated team to compete
at the same level as its associated club, España Industrial
were excluded from competing at the highest level; due to this,
Celta obtained the top level place.
