to "determine" the Sudanese entrants in the African club tournaments while
the Sudanese league is suspended due to the ongoing civil war in the country.

NB: in spite of the rather peculiar nature of this tournament and its farcical
ending (Merreikh were on the pitch for the final match but its directors
forbade the team to play), on Jul 8 CAF accepted the entry of the above
three clubs for its club tournaments 2024/25 (Al-Hilal and Al-Merreikh are
to enter the CAF Champions League, Hay Al-Wadi the CAF Confederation Cup).
NB: Mauritania have agreed to Al-Hilal and Al-Merreikh entering its top level
league for the 2024/25 season, subject to approval by CAF, after an earlier
tentative of both clubs to enter the Tanzania league was not approved by
the Tanzanian FA.
