Originally scheduled to take place in Nice, France, from June 3 to June 12, 2022, the event was scrapped by the Confederation of Independent Football Associations (CONIFA) following significant organizational and hosting withdrawals from the local organizing committee. Before the cancellation, CONIFA had divided 12 participant teams across four groups: Group A: County of Nice, Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Sardinia Group B: Abkhazia, Sápmi, Székely Land Group C: South Ossetia, Artsakh, Kernow Group D: Padania, Western Armenia, Chameria
