    were awarded.

[1] América had been promoted in 1984; this was the only time
    a newly promoted team won the league in Nicaragua; América were first
    promoted to the top flight in 1973, relegated in 1982, promoted back in
    1984, and champions in 1985, 1988 and 1990.

[2] Real Estelí won title by winning both Apertura and Clausura.
