Marianas Cup

The Marianas Cup is a quasi-annual challenge competition contested by the representative men's and women's teams of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, at a variety of age levels. Typically it involves two matches (one male, one female) played on the same day at the same location, but this format has not been followed rigidly.

The 2007 and 2009 men's editions listed below were not explicitly for the Marianas Cup but were instead qualifiers for the EAFF (East Asian) Championship; they were appended retrospectively to the records of the Marianas Cup. By contrast, the women's editions were all stand-alone Marianas Cup matches with no other purpose. Indeed, in 2009 the two women's teams played each other twice, once for the Marianas Cup and once in EAFF qualifying.

In addition to the Marianas Cup matches listed in this file, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands (or sometimes Guam and Saipan) have played against each other on various other occasions; see the NMI list of matches for more information on such matches played at senior level.
