Notes: the Liverpool team was also labelled as "North of England" in the Bangkok press.
Before Liverpool's match vs Pahang, the organizers had already booked the team's
flights back to England for the following day as the team needed to win by at
least a six goal margin in order to advance, and based on earlier results the
organizers did not think this was possible. The Liverpool team had been invited
through the influence of Edward Thangarajah, the Bangkok Post sports editor, via
his contact with John Parrott (a professional snooker player from Liverpool).
