(1)	Play-off in London.
(2)	Play off in Madrid, Vojvodina won after extra time.
(3)	Both games were played in Split.
(4)	The 1985/86 season in Yugoslav League saw a big scandal involving more
than half of the first division teams fixing results for the last match
day. Due to this, originally the last round was replayed, and Partizan,
who refused to play again after originally having finished top, lost their
title to Crvena zvezda, who therefore played in the Champions' Cup.
However, after a prolonged court case finally involving the communist
authorities, the original results were confirmed and Partizan awarded the
title.
(5)	Since the situation about scandal in 1985/86 season had not been
resolved by the end of July 1987, Yugoslavia was represented by Vardar
Skopje. Eventually, Partizan was awarded the championship title, but it was
too late to replace Vardar.
(6)	Crvena zvezda had a 1-0 lead in second leg game in Belgrade. The game
was suspended in 61st minute, due to heavy fog. The following day, the
teams played a 1-1 tie, and after extra time AC Milan won 4-2 on penalties
(7)	Second leg game in Dresden was suspended in 78th minute, due to crowd
trouble. The game was registered 2-1 and Crvena zvezda advanced to the
semi-finals.
(8)	In season 1991/92, Crvena zvezda played all their home games abroad,
due to UN sport sanctions against Yugoslavia. Games against Portadown and
Apollon were held in Szeged, Hungary, Anderlecht was hosted in Budapest,
Hungary, while last two games, against Panathinaikos and Sampdoria, took
place in Sofia, Bulgaria.
(9)	No Yugoslav team participated in European Champions Cup, due to UN
sanctions between 1992 and 1995. In seasons 1995/96 and 1996/97, Crvena
zvezda and Partizan Beograd respectively participated in UEFA Cup, since
Yugoslavia was rated very low on UEFA listings, and therefore champions did
not qualify for European League.

(2) Play off game was played in Vienna. After extra time, Dinamo Zagreb advanced on a coin toss. (3) Second leg game was played in Osijek. Hajduk was penalized for crowd trouble in 1983/84 UEFA Cup semi-final game against Tottenham Hotspur. (4) Second leg game has been delayed for five weeks, since UEFA was investigating Aarau's complaint about registration of Crvena zvezda's player Miralem Zjajo. There were some irregularities about his trasnsfer from NK Iskra Bugojno, but eventually he turned out to be eligible to play in European competitions. The scores from the first round were confirmed. (5) Second leg game was continuously interrupted due to crowd trouble. The game ended in a 2-0 victory for Hajduk, however it was registered 3-0 for Olympique. Hajduk was banned for one year from all European competitions. They served the penalty in 1990/91 and Yugoslavia did not have a representative in CWC. (6) Partizan played their fist round home game against Celtic Glasgow in Mostar. JNA Stadium was suspended due to crowd trouble at 1988/89 UEFA Cup game against Roma (Giannini was hit in the head by a coin). As soon as they served the penalty, their fans caused another trouble (fireworks, etc) at their game against Groningen. Therefore, the game agianst Dynamo was played in Titograd (Podgorica). (7) No Yugoslav team participated in European cups, due to UN sanctions between 1992 and 1995.
