Prior to independence, USCB (Union Sportive des Clubs de Grand-Bassam) won
a cup tournament in 1948 and 1950, apparently restricted to clubs from
Abidjan and Bassam.
Africa Sports were founded in April 1947 as CS Bété,
renamed September 1948.
Etoile Filante (Bouaké) won the
Coupe Cigarettes Nationales in 1954/55 and 1955/56 and the
Coupe de Municipalité 1954/55, and were losing finalists in the
Coupe de la Librairie de France 1955/56.
Jeunesse Club d'Abidjan won the Coupe d'Abidjan in 1942 and were losing
finalists in the Coupe Darre 1938.
