[*1] at the halfway stage, the three teams of the Ministry of Defence (Al-Tayaran, Al-Jaish
and Al-Bahri) were dissolved as part of cutbacks following the Gulf War; after protests
by supporters, Al-Tayaran were reinstated under their old name Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, while
Al-Bahri and Al-Jaish were reconstituted for the 1991/92 season but demoted to a lower
tier.
[*2] Arbil withdrew after 12 matches due to the 1991 uprisings in Iraq; their four remaining
matches from the first half of the season were awarded 0-3 losses while Iraq U-19 were
added to the league for the second half to replace them; however, Arbil were not demoted
and returned next season.
[*3] Al-Karkh replaced Al-Rasheed.
