PSSI 50th Anniversary Tournament (Turnamen "Setengah Abad" PSSI) 1980

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the PSSI in 1980, two tournaments were organised, one in Jakarta and one in Yogyakarta, with the winners of each sharing the title after drawing the final.

The seven teams involved were the founding members of the PSSI on April 19, 1930. Teams were allowed to include players from the semi-professional Galatama league, which was at the end of its first ever season (1979/80); in particular PPSM included several players from local Galatama club Tidar Sakti.
