Haiti - List of Women Champions

The first women's football match on Haiti was played at the Parc Sainte Thérèse in Pétion-Ville on 19 Dec 1971 (Sacré-Cœur 3-2 Collège Canado-Haïtien; the same two teams met again at the same venie on 3 Jan 1972, drawing 1-1). Amazones FC was founded 25 Dec 1971, Excelsior Club 10 Jan 1972, AS Tigresses 1 Feb 1972 and Gladiatrices (from Bel-Air) 3 Feb 1972.
The first official tournament was held with Easter 1972, between Excelsior (winners), Super F, Minerve and Gladiatrices. The first national tournament was the Coupe Dunbrick, played between Jun and Sep 1972, Excelsior beating Amazones 2-0 in the final at the Parc Sainte Thérèse in Pétion-Ville; the next tournament was the Coupe Châtelain later in 1972, Tigresses beating Excelsior 2-0 in the final.
