16-25 June in Shanghai, Dalian and Beijing Notes: the China full national team was initially listed as a participant, but the team was disbanded after it was eliminated from the World Cup qualifying tournament by Hong Kong on 19th May. Beijing was brought in as a replacement. Sunderland AFC was also listed as a participant, but was forced to withdraw after FIFA banned English clubs from playing abroad (following the Heysel disaster).
