Universiade 1924


The Executive Committee of the Confédération Internationale des Étudiants in a meeting, held in May 1923 in Paris, decided to launch the first World University Championship in Warsaw from 17 to 21 September 1924. The following sports would take place: athletics, football, rowing, fencing and tennis.

Enrolled in the multi-sports world championship: Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Estonia, France, United Kingdom (Canada, England, New Zealand, Palestine, Scotland), Italy, Poland, Romania and the United States of America.

Only Poland and England took part in the football tournament.
