The TUL (Työväen Urheiluliitto) is the Labour Sports Association in Finland. Its competition lost its importance in 1948 when the TUL clubs joined the competitions of the SPL (Suomen Palloliitto, the Finnish FA).
Nowadays the TUL championship is a winter/spring competition which is mainly played indoors (normal 11-a-side football on full-sized ground). The participation rate is usually very low, and most of the top TUL clubs do not participate at all.
Only from 1945 to 1948, when the Finnish championship was decided in a final tournament entered by the best teams of the SPL and TUL internal championships, the TUL championship was incorporated in the official Finnish championship.
