All matches were played in the city stadiums: Estadio Manuel Ruiz de Lopera and Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Before the start of the tournament, Iraklis Saloniki and Austria Salzburg, who were to play Marítimo and Brugge, respectively, withdrew. These two matches were replaced by Brugge - Marítimo with both teams qualifying for the quarterfinals.
