VI. Cup 1954-60 WINNER: CZECHOSLOVAKIA


Only this sixth and last edition of the Coupe Internationale européenne was played for the Dr. Gerö Cup, named after the former president of the Austria FA Dr. Josef Gerö, who died suddenly in 1954. Until then, the trophy had been named after Antonín Švehla, the then prime minister of Czechoslovakia, who had donated it in 1927.
