Dinamo Moskva Tour to France and Switzerland 1954

After Girondins de Bordeaux had toured the Soviet Union in June 1954, playing Dinamo Moskva, Dinamo Tbilisi and Spartak Moskva (and losing three times, by 1-6, 0-4 and 2-3), Dinamo Moskva paid a return visit four months later, leaving Moscow after defeating Arsenal 5-0 on Oct 5 for a tour of France and Switzerland in which they met the top three of the French league season 1953/54, Lille, Reims (combined with some players of Racing de Paris, newly promoted from the second division) and Bordeaux, as well as a combination of the runners-up (Grasshopper Club) and third placed team (Lausanne-Sports) of the Swiss 1953/54 league (won by FC La Chaux-de-Fonds).
