Alki promoted to 1960/61 Cypriot First Division.

Aris was relegated to 1960/61 Cypriot Second Division. However, the general meeting of Cyprus Football Association, with the votes
of all First Division teams vote for Aris to continue to First Division. AYMA, which was the last team ever to be relegated from
First to Second Division (1955/56 First Division), believed tha was injustice since the relegation did not apply to all teams. AYMA
submitted a request for participation to First Division, which was accepted by the general meeting of Cyprus Football Association.

1959/60 Cypriot Second Division

The 1959/60 Cypriot Second Division was split to two geographical groups, depending from Districts of Cyprus each participated team came from.
The winners of each group were playing against each other in the final phase of the competition and the winner were the champions of the Second Division.
