due to disagreements with the Guatemalan federation (organizer of the tournament) due to discrepancies with the
economic amounts to be distributed. Due to the economic losses they caused, the Guatemalan federation protested.
CONCACAF sanctioned the federations of Costa Rica and El Salvador with a fine and a one-year suspension.
