From 1988 to 1994 the Memorial Pier Cesare Baretti, also known as Torneo di Saint Vincent, Val d'Aosta, was played, in honour of Pier Cesare Baretti, who died on December 5, 1987. It is sometimes seen as a successor of the Cup of the Alps, though participation was no longer restricted to club teams from the relevant nations.
Occasional summer tournaments are still held in the Val d'Aosta, e.g. Trofeo Valle d'Aosta and Trofeo Monte Bianco - Coppa Casino de la Vallée.
