NB: on March 2, FIFA decided to suspend Guinea from all international activity
after the government of the country refused to re-instate members of the
disbanded Guinea FA executive committee. Because of this Guinea were banned
from the tournament. FIFA had first issued a deadline of February 15 for the
reinstallment of FEGUIFOOT's elected board, which had been dissolved by the
Guinean Sports Ministry on January 28, citing 'poor results'; on February 14,
the Sports Ministry appointed a new federation with a new president, reinstating
Aly Bangoura as secretary general but under supervision of a new member; FIFA
then issued a new deadline of March 2, midnight, for the reinstallation of the
elected board.
Rearranged Final
Mar 3 Nigeria 3-0 Burkina Faso
Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Mali qualified for World Cup U-17.
