He held the Austrian caps record from October 4, 1914 (when he equalled the total of Ludwig Hussak) until April 24, 1921 (when his total was surpassed by Alexander Popovich). He had previously shared the record on various occasions: after playing the first three matches ever of the Austrian national team (together with two other players) from October 12, 1902 until June 2, 1904, and from November 1, 1908 until June 1, 1909 (when he had reached 6 caps together with two or three other players). He held the Austrian record of goals for the national team from October 12, 1902 (when he scored three goals in the first ever match of the Austrian national team) until April 7, 1929 (when his total was surpassed by Hans Horvath).
