International Finalists (link to separate file)
Taking the different value of the trophies into account, there is no denying the status of Real Madrid as 'international cup kings': undisputed record winners of both the Champions Cup/League (fifteen editions) and the Club World Championship (eight times), and shared record winners of the Latin Cup (twice, like two other clubs), the strongest international club tournament after World War II prior to the introduction of the 'official' ones (before World War II, that distinction belongs to the Mitropa Cup for which Real Madrid were not eligible for geographical reasons).
Number of wins in the European Cups (Champions' Cup/League (1), Cup Winners' Cup (2), UEFA/Fairs Cup/Europa League (3), UEFA Conference League (4)): 1 2 3 4 Real Madrid [Spain] 17 (15-0-2-0) Barcelona [Spain] 12 (5-4-3-0) Milan [Italy] 9 (7-2-0-0) Liverpool [England] 9 (6-0-3-0) Bayern München [Germany] 8 (6-1-1-0) Sevilla [Spain] 7 (0-0-7-0) Ajax [Netherlands] 6 (4-1-1-0) Internazionale [Italy] 6 (3-0-3-0) Chelsea [England] 6 (2-2-2-0) Juventus [Italy] 6 (2-1-3-0) Manchester United [England] 5 (3-1-1-0) Porto [Portugal] 4 (2-0-2-0) Atlético Madrid [Spain] 4 (0-1-3-0) Valencia [Spain] 4 (0-1-3-0) others at most 3 Milan, Real Madrid and Barcelona also all won the Latin Cup twice; Barcelona also won a playoff in 1971 between the first (Barcelona) and last (Leeds United) winners of the Fairs Cup. Barcelona won all of them at least three times. Real Madrid won the one-off Copa Iberoamericana 1994, organised by the RFEF (Spanish FA) and CONMEBOL and thereby might claim a 30th 'official' international trophy.

These include the Recopa Sudamericana de Clubes (a South American version of the Cup Winners Cup, not to be confused with the Super Cup style Recopa above, organised twice, with the second edition unfinished), the Supercopa Masters (played twice), the Copa Conmebol Masters (played once) and the Copa de Oro Nicolás Leoz (played three times). The last three never had more than a handful participants. Any titles won in those tournaments are listed under (M).
